A Journey of Color, Culture, and Creative Expression. Dominique Ambroise (b. 1962, Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is a full-time abstract artist based in Miami, FL. She completed her education in Childhood Education at Ecole Normale de Jardinieres d’enfants, graduating in 1983. Dominik began her artistic journey studying drawing in 1982 and later pursued painting under Jean Rene Cangé in 2000. She further refined her skills through painting classes at Miami Dade College, Oolite Arts, and workshops at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).
Specializing in large-scale abstract paintings using acrylic on canvas, Dominik draws inspiration from nature, people, and music. Her art is a vibrant fusion of Haitian heritage and contemporary influences. Each piece is crafted to evoke wonder and imagination, infused with bold colors and dynamic shapes.
